4th National Cybersecurity Forum in Baku: Strengthening Cyber Resilience Through Collaboration and Innovation

On June 4, the 4th National Cybersecurity Forum took place in Baku, bringing together representatives from government institutions, international organizations, cybersecurity agencies, private companies, academic institutions, and industry experts.

As a Gold Sponsor of the forum, iIT Distribution Azerbaijan participated alongside key stakeholders shaping the country’s cybersecurity landscape.

INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT

How cybersecurity collaboration is evolving in Azerbaijan

The forum was organized by the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association (AKTA) in partnership with the National Cybersecurity Center under the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event focused on current cybersecurity challenges, emerging threats, and opportunities to strengthen the country’s cyber resilience through cooperation between the public and private sectors.

iITD presented cybersecurity solutions from leading global vendors, including Ping Identity, Vectra AI, and Censys. Throughout the event, visitors explored technologies designed to strengthen digital identity protection, improve threat detection capabilities, enhance attack surface visibility, and support organizational cyber resilience.

The discussions highlighted a broader shift across the market. As cyber threats become more sophisticated, organizations are moving beyond isolated security tools and increasingly focusing on integrated cybersecurity strategies that combine technology, processes, and expertise.

MODERN THREATS

Cybersecurity challenges continue to evolve

One of the key moments of the forum was the panel session titled “Modern Cybersecurity Threats”, featuring Elnur Khalilzade, Country Manager at iIT Distribution Azerbaijan.

During his presentation, he addressed emerging cyber threat trends and shared observations based on real-world incidents affecting organizations in Azerbaijan. Particular attention was given to the growing impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence on the cybersecurity landscape.

As technologies continue to evolve, threat actors are adapting their methods just as quickly. This creates new challenges for organizations that must protect increasingly complex digital environments while maintaining business continuity and operational efficiency.

The discussion emphasized the importance of proactive cybersecurity strategies, continuous monitoring, and comprehensive security frameworks capable of addressing both current and emerging risks.

ORGANIZATIONAL READINESS

Building resilience before incidents occur

A recurring theme throughout the forum was the need for stronger organizational preparedness.

Cybersecurity is no longer limited to technical infrastructure alone. Effective protection depends on a combination of governance, employee awareness, incident response planning, and ongoing risk management.

Participants discussed the importance of preventing cyberattacks before they occur, minimizing the impact of security incidents, and improving the ability of organizations to respond quickly when threats emerge.

As attack methods become more targeted and dynamic, preparedness increasingly depends on how effectively organizations identify risks, monitor critical assets, and coordinate response efforts across teams.

NATIONAL CYBERSECURITY DEVELOPMENT

Opportunities for strengthening Azerbaijan’s cyber ecosystem

The forum also provided an opportunity to assess Azerbaijan’s progress in cybersecurity and discuss future priorities for the industry.

Experts explored current challenges facing both public and private sector organizations, while also identifying opportunities to strengthen national cyber defense capabilities. The exchange of practical experience and professional expertise contributed to a broader dialogue on the future development of the country’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

The strong participation from industry leaders, government representatives, academia, and international partners demonstrated a shared commitment to addressing cybersecurity challenges through cooperation and knowledge sharing.

STRATEGIC COMMITMENT

Supporting secure digital transformation

The 4th National Cybersecurity Forum once again confirmed its role as a key platform for fostering collaboration across the cybersecurity community.

Through its participation as a Gold Sponsor, the presentation of advanced cybersecurity solutions, and the expert contribution of Elnur Khalilzade, iIT Distribution Azerbaijan reinforced its commitment to supporting organizations in their cybersecurity journey and contributing to the continued development of Azerbaijan’s digital ecosystem.

As cybersecurity becomes an increasingly important component of business resilience and national security, cooperation between technology providers, industry experts, and public institutions remains essential for building a stronger and more secure digital future.
