Censys Platform is a comprehensive solution for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from across the internet, helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity. The platform enables enriching event indicators with additional context (Security Operations), proactively identifying cybercriminal infrastructures (Threat Hunting), conducting retrospective incident analysis (Incident Response), tracking new threats and patterns on the internet (Threat Research and Reporting), and obtaining intelligence for pentests and Red Team operations (Cyber Reconnaissance).

This year, the capabilities of Censys are significantly expanding – both functionally and geographically. The platform offers new modules, and thanks to a partnership with iIT Distribution, it is now also available in Poland, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

NEW THREAT HUNTING MODULE: ACTIVE THREAT HUNTING

The Censys Threat Hunting module opens up entirely new possibilities for security teams in detecting and tracking malicious infrastructure. It helps identify, analyze, monitor, and proactively find adversary indicators.

The module automates routine Threat Hunting tasks, allowing quick identification of hosts with similar characteristics, making queries, downloading results, and iteratively exploring new objects. With the Live Scanning feature, security teams can instantly check suspicious infrastructure and obtain historical data for building a complete picture of an attack’s progression.

To enhance investigation efficiency, Censys integrates into the module:

  • CensEye – a tool for adaptive infrastructure detection and precise threat tracking.
  • Censys Threat Context – real-time analysis of adversary infrastructure based on known malware fingerprints, URL endpoints, and specialized scanners.
  • On-Demand Scanning – capability for instant, deep scans to detect hidden services or configurations.
  • Certificate & Host History – historical links between hosts and certificates to uncover TTPs and attack chronology.
  • Exploration Dashboards – interactive panels for visualizing threat infrastructure and rapid anomaly detection.
UPDATED ATTACK SURFACE MANAGEMENT MODULE: FULL CONTROL OVER ASSETS

In addition to Threat Hunting, Censys has also significantly enhanced the Attack Surface Management module, which helps organizations achieve full transparency and control over their own assets.

Main use cases include:

  • External Attack Surface Management – over 95% attribution accuracy and 63% broader service scans compared to closest competitors.
  • Shadow IT – real-time detection and monitoring of hidden organizational assets.
  • Cloud Asset Discovery – convenient and secure cloud connectors for AWS, Azure, GCP with updates every 4 hours.
  • Exposure & Risk Management – prioritization and elimination of vulnerabilities based on comprehensive context.
  • Security Framework & Compliance – assistance in compliance with current and new cybersecurity standards.
  • M&A Risk Management – automatic asset discovery during mergers and acquisitions, reducing due diligence processes by up to 40%.

Key features of the module include the Attribution Engine, Cloud Connectors, daily scans for over 500 risks, automation of saved queries with instant alerts, and rapid response to zero-day vulnerabilities.

ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES FOR IIT DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS

The expansion of Censys functionality makes the platform an even more powerful tool for cybersecurity, and thanks to the new coverage geography, iIT Distribution will enable even more companies in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in Central Asia, to access these advanced technologies.
