New exposure management capabilities from Vectra AI

As AI adoption grows and enterprises operate in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, the network becomes a dynamic attack surface. Security teams often lack a clear, continuous view of what exists on the network, how it behaves, and where risks are present. Meanwhile, attackers move faster, exploiting identities, misconfigurations, and undocumented assets to establish a foothold and move laterally before detection.

Traditional approaches—relying on fragmented tools, periodic scans, and static asset inventories—leave critical gaps between visibility and action. In fact, Vectra AI’s 2026 “State of Threat Detection and Response Report” showed that 63% of security alerts still go unaddressed, highlighting the gap between visibility and effective risk reduction in modern security operations.

Vectra AI introduces three key innovations:

Continuous asset inventory: Automatically discovers and tracks a full view of assets across modern hybrid environments, including undocumented devices, OT, and IoT. This fully passive, agentless inventory fills gaps where organizations rely solely on network monitoring.

Proactive exposure detection: Alerts teams to actively observed security and compliance gaps in their environment, helping reduce the enterprise attack surface. Findings reveal risky protocol usage, suspicious encryption patterns, and exposed password files—if left unaddressed, these create paths for future attacks. These detections also strengthen adherence to cybersecurity frameworks.

Environmental observability: Provides insights into what is happening on the network, from post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness and Zero Trust principles to network performance and data movement across the environment.

“The network is the single source of truth,” said Snehal Patel, Chief Product Officer at Vectra AI. “With exposure management, we give security teams the clarity and context they need to understand what exists in their environment, how it is used, and where real risks lie—so they can act before attackers do.”

As modern networks become more complex and AI adoption accelerates, Vectra AI’s advanced capabilities unify asset visibility, behavior-based risk prioritization, and AI usage insights on a single platform—enabling security teams to reduce exposure, strengthen their posture, and stay ahead of modern attacks.
