As part of the forum, iIT Distribution initiated a panel discussion «Around AI in Cybersecurity: From Shadow AI to the Limits of Automation».
The topic of the discussion resonates with the approach of our technology partners — CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, and Commvault, who are also working on integrating AI into solutions for protecting infrastructure, networks, and data.
Together with CISOs and heads of information security departments from the banking sector, manufacturing, logistics, and government digital services, we discussed how AI is already impacting business and security systems. The panel was moderated by Serhiy Kulyk, head of the Ukrainian office of iIT Distribution.
During the discussion, several practical issues were raised:
- the intensification of deepfake, AI-phishing, and automated social engineering;
- control over the use of public LLMs by employees and the risks of data leakage;
- changing access and trust models;
- creating new services using artificial intelligence and products entirely built on AI;
- the real cost of teams, expertise, and long-term investments in such solutions;
- the limits of automation in SOC and the role of humans in making critical decisions;
- the linguistic specificity of AI solutions and the challenges of working with the Ukrainian language.
The discussion was candid and pragmatic: AI has already become part of operational reality, but its implementation requires mature processes, clear policies, and conscious responsibility.
